Course stats. You judge a CAM on their ability to provide and score goals. If you think with Sigurddsson's current haul he has done 'ok' then for you to think he has done well it is only logical that he will do what he is there to do even more. A CAM chipping in with say 10-15 goals and near enough 20 assists would put him with the best players in the league
I get that, and its a good point but Siggurddsson would be coming into a team playing the same system and would be the clubs record signing. To think that we wouldnt utilise him replicate his Swansea form would be stupid

And here in a nutshell is the difference between us and Everton.
We should be able to compete with them financially now and even outspend them but we won't. If lucky we will spend that on our MARQUE striker and then little else.
They identify a player based in ability, we more so based on price. It is why they will no doubt finish above us again next season. It's not even an outrageous amount for a good player these days.

stats again? snodgrass scored more goals for hull up until the end of the year that both de bruyne and ozil have managed all season. you don't learn, do you?
yes, ive based my opinion on what ive seen, with my eyes, not what ive read online and in SHOOT!
players regularly have a stand out season in a very poor team, because they are the focal point.
remind me, when wolves went down how many goals did matt jarvis have? as many as ozil this season and two more than de bruyne.

He has done ok ? Wow if he is playing well then he is scoring more goals and getting more assists and putting himself up there in the Ozil and De Bryune territory

Proof of that? Yeah players like Snodgrass move clubs and struggle but plenty do it and carry on their good form - Antonio, Creswell, Ibra, Kante for example
I disagree, youve based an opinion based on what you've seen but its not something that every football fan would find

He's done ok this season, as has defoe and as had snodgrass before joining us. the common factor there? bst player in the team and team set up to play to their attributes. but them in a different team and those stats would be a lot different, as proven by snodgrass. these are things you find by watching games rossal, rather than getting your knowledge from wikipedia and copies of fourfourtwo.

Erm ok so the first post was a general post
Then i replied to Alvin with the view that 13 assists this season means that I disagree with his point that take away his goals he doesnt really contribute much
Then you poked your nose in desperatley searching for something to chomp on and well it seems like you're upset that I said that Sigurddson is quality without giving you a detailed reports of all his attributes. To be honest if you've watched him this season (or last) aswell as seeing his 9 goals and 13 assists i'm not sure how you could argue against his quality. Anyone with basic footballing knowledge could see he has been very impressive this season

I really like him but I'm not convinced he turns up enough - though Swansea basically only won last season if he did play well, he was anonymous for large portions of the season. Also why was his Spurs move such an abject failure?
Still with him and wothischops from palace coming back from injury, if they hold on to lukaku they'll have a very good attack

No, we are not strong. As I mentioned below. Ayew has done OK recently, our only dependable attacking midfielders have been mentioned. Not quite sure why I need to repeat this, you can read can't you?

You mean we are not strong in that area with the exceptions of Ayew, Lanzini, Antonio and Fernandes backed up by a crop of exciting kids. We need some pacey forward players who will actually stay fit and notch a decent tally of goals.
Siggy is a good player but that's a big chunk of the budget when we have far more pressing concerns

We are not 'strong', we have 2 dependable attacking midfield players in lanzini and antonio, with ayew and feghouli being decent and looking better. that's it.. that's not 'strong' at all.
